My thoughts are exactly the same. It’s like you see my reactions in a ‘man on the street’ interview and write exactly what I say.

The line where he’s talking about how the rider is “SCRAPING AT THE DOOOA!” was classic Cage Rage.

This movie was a stack of pretty nonsense.

But really, what can you do? If everything’s gone, it’s gone. I’m just thankful I had some of my data backed-up in other places. Hard copies of stories, cloud services for music and pictures.

In a strange way, it’s also kind of liberating. I don’t feel the burden of all those electronic documents weighing me down. Though, I would prefer if they were safe somewhere. It is possible to retrieve the data from those drives, but it would require a clean room and roughly $2,000. Not worth it at this juncture. Maybe when I win the lottery…

Please – back up your important stuff. You never know when disaster will strike. :P

My father, who is in his late 50s started reading the books during a trip to the beach and could NOT put them down. He’s always been a casual reader, but he was literally on the couch reading the 2nd and 3rd books for an entire day, only willing to stop for a brief walk on the beach. It was insane! My book-to-film adaptation club is reading them for March and I can’t wait for my sisters to get hooked. :) I have my copies all prepped and ready to go when they come knocking down my door for the sequels, as I know they will. :)

I was barely able to put “Hunger Games” down for a second after the first few pages got me completely hooked. Normally it takes a week to read a book, but now I read this in 24 hours. Suzanne Collins here has an immediacy to it that, when combined with the very dramatic life-or-death plot, is incredibly compelling. It’s entertaining, and incredibly disturbing all at once. They say great art leaves you changed after you experience it… and this book definitely did that. Suzanne Collins has, with one amazing work, propelled herself onto my top shelf.
